The Missed Mondays

Your best worker starts showing
up late. Bloodshot eyes.
Shaky hands. The crew knows
something’s wrong.

The Failed Rehab

You pay for 30 days of treatment.
They come back clean.
Three weeks later, they’re
using again.

The Tragedy

Another overdose. Another funeral.
Another family destroyed.
Construction workers are 6X
more likely to die from opioids.

This isn’t a worker problem. This is a system problem.

The $21,000 Gap That’s Killing Your Workers

The $21,000 Gap That’s
Killing Your Workers

What Insurance Pays For:

30 Days

Medicaid and most insurance only cover 30 days of treatment.

That’s enough to detox. But not enough to heal.

What Science Says They Need:

6 Months

Neuroscience research shows the brain needs 6 months to rewire after addiction.

That’s the difference between sobriety and relapse.

What Science Says They Need:

6 Months

Neuroscience research shows the brain needs 6 months to rewire after addiction.

That’s the difference between sobriety and relapse.

The Math:

$3,500/month × 5 extra months = $21,000 gap

Most treatment centers won’t take Medicaid patients because that $21,000 gap isn’t profitable.

Another worker relapses. Another life is in ruins.

That’s the difference between a worker who relapses and one who rebuilds their life.

Meet Jimmie Applegate

I spent 18 years in construction and 30 years in active addiction.  My experience took me through treatment 7 times before I was able to gain full recovery. I’ve lost good workers to this system. I’m done watching it happen.

I’m not just another treatment center owner asking for donations, I’ve spent $2.2 Million dollars of my own money into this problem because I believe there is a better way.

I built custom pools for 11 years, then ran restoration crews for 7 more. I was the superintendent losing foremen to addiction. I watched my best guys disappear—bloodshot eyes, missed Mondays, the whole cycle. We tried to help. Insurance covered 30 days. They’d relapse in three weeks.

Then I got into treatment and saw the problem from the other side:

The system is designed to bill insurance, not heal people. 30-day programs with 30% success rates, which is a 70% failure rate!  Waiting lists that last 6 months while people die. Treatment centers that reject Medicaid patients because they can’t afford the gap.

I’ve spent 8 years working in the Behavioral Health Industry. I’ve helped over 300 men rebuild their lives. I’m a veteran, a father of four, and someone in recovery myself.

I’m done playing by broken rules.

That’s why I built 10 For Addiction.

A direct funding pipeline that pays for the 6-month care science requires—but insurance won’t cover. No bureaucracy. No waiting lists. Just real recovery for construction workers who can’t afford it.

You’ve lost workers to this system. I have too. Let’s fix it.

The Business Case for Corporate Champions

The Business Case for
Corporate Champions

Industry Turnover Crisis

The construction industry loses $1.4 billion annually to addiction-related turnover. Every worker lost to overdose creates a ripple effect across your entire sector.

Workforce Shortage Impact

Construction companies report 250,000+ unfilled positions nationwide. When addiction claims experienced workers, it shrinks your industry’s talent pool and drives up labor costs for everyone.

Community Reputation

When construction workers overdose at 6X the national rate, it damages how communities view your entire industry. Your donation helps change that narrative.

Your Investment

Whether its $10/mo. or $10,000 – $100,000 annually, your investment funds treatment for construction workers who can’t afford the 6-month care that actually works. You’re strengthening the industry’s workforce pipeline—not replacing individual employees, but ensuring skilled labor stays in construction.

Tax Benefit for Your Business

10 For Addiction is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your donation is 100% tax-deductible*. Ask yourself this question – how much do you NOT want to pay Taxes?  That same money can go to help actual people in our industry.

*Consult your CPA or tax advisor for specific tax implications for your business.

Beacon Charities is the fundraising engine driving a recovery revolution. Through Beacon Treatment Center, we operate as an extended-stay Outpatient Treatment Center (OTC) that provides long-term care beyond the typical 30-day insurance limit. The center rejects the “assembly line” approach to recovery, instead using a Customized Care model that begins with at least twelve assessments beyond industry standards to evaluate an individual’s trauma history, personality style, neurobiological markers, cognitive style, cultural background and context. We are not warehousing people; we use neuroscience, and innovative interventions to give men a new brain and a life worth living.

Our track record proves that a different way is possible. While the industry average for long-term sobriety hovers at a pathetic 30 percent, our programs have achieved a 49 percent sobriety rate at six months post-treatment, with some higher rates among specific underserved populations. Since our founding, we have successfully supported over 250 individuals through residential treatment, life-skills training, and transitional housing. Our Vivid Vision targets a 73 percent three-year sobriety rate by 2028 because we measure success by transformed lives, not quarterly profit reports.

The ultimate proof of our success is the brotherhood we have built. Many of our graduates do not just stay sober; they become healers who now work as professional staff in our own facilities. We are breaking the cycle of generational trauma and proving that high-level recovery tools should be accessible to everyone, not just the wealthy.

That’s Beacon Charities.

FAQs

Yes. 10 For Addiction is the fundraising arm of Beacon Charities, which is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Dig it.

Absolutely. We’re interested in real results, not locking people into contracts. If you need to stop your monthly support, you can do it through the app or website – or by contacting us whenever you need to.

Radical transparency is our standard. I’ve put nearly $2.2 million of my own money back into this mission because I believe in a better way. Your money goes directly toward bridging the $21,000 gap per client that Medicaid and insurance refuse to cover, ensuring that high-level, neuroscience-backed care is available to the underserved. We send quarterly reports and you can contact us for a full transparency report.

Then you’re ahead of the curve. But being a Corporate Champion is about more than your own backyard; it’s about helping stabilize and expand a recovery model that works. By joining now, you’re helping us scale this system to new states to serve communities that the current industry has completely given up on.

It’s a charitable investment in human potential. You’re not just throwing money at an “awareness” campaign; you’re funding a Category of One recovery system that creates future leaders and mends family trees. For construction owners, it’s also an investment in the health of the industry’s workforce.

Most EAP programs send guys into a “30-day trap”—a revolving door that profits from relapse. We provide the six months of customized, brain-based care that neuroscience proves is necessary to actually rewire the neural architecture destroyed by addiction.

Yes. While our app is built for $10 monthly crowdfunding, our Corporate Champions typically commit to high-level annual support, starting at a minimum of $5,000 per year to fully sponsor a client’s needs

These are the leaders who put “skin in the game” early to help us launch this movement. Founding Champions are featured on a dedicated page on our website with their business logo and a 250-word description of why they chose to support the recovery revolution.

We are fully licensed (AZDHS License OTC12702) and our results speak for themselves. While the industry average for long-term sobriety hovers at a pathetic 30%, our program is achieving a 49% success rate at six months post-completion.

You bet. We are intentionally rural—26 acres in the Arizona woods. We host tours for partners, judges, and officials to see the “Sweet Sauce” of the brotherhood in action. Reach out to us to schedule a visit to the campus.
